He completed his musical studies in percussion and composition at the Music Conservatory "L.Cherubini" of Florence, graduating with honors.

He perfected first at the "Sweelinck Conservatorium" in Amsterdam and then in Strasbourg.

He graduated in music sociology at the University of Florence and didactic music at the Conservatory of Fermo.

He has played with the major Italian orchestras and held solo concerts in the most prestigious festivals and theaters in the world.

From 1994 to 1996 he was part of the "Les Percussions de Strasbourg" group. He has recorded numerous CDs with the most important record companies as a soloist.

He is the author of several books published abroad and music for theater, cinema and television.

He was tutor for percussion at the Italian Youth Orchestra from 1984 to today. He teaches Percussion at the "Pietro Mascagni" Conservatory of Music in Livorno.
